First Quarter photographs for Multimedia students are so good this year lots of nice video work as well.

November Projects

I was very impressed with the scratch board projects that were finished by the general art students this month. Very strong work in value as well as good detail.

The Other Chimney Rock

Did you know there are 14 other Chimney Rocks in the U.S.?  The one we visited this summer was in Colorado and it is a National Monument that is the home of many fascinating ruins from the Chacoan culture that inhabited the area 800 years ago.  This culture was the foundation of today's Pueblo culture still living in the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.

Mesa Verde National Park

We have a park pass that allows free entry and 1/2 price camping at all National Parks and most Monuments.  This year is the 100th
anniversary of the National Park Service.  We visited Mesa Verde and Great Sand Dunes National Monument early in June right before it got warm...

Best Hand Foreward

General Art classes have been working super hard these last 2 weeks.  We have done negative space drawings. Blind contour line drawings and the best hand drawings ever! And you thought you couldn't draw.

Graphic Design I Final Projects

I have really enjoyed the creativity of my Graphic Design I students this year.  Here are their final project Year in Review Summaries.  They were able to choose whatever medium they felt best showcased their work. They are all different and that is cool.
